I started this blog long back, more than one year ago, but could not post newer entries to it for various unavoidable reasons. I now resume writing for this blog. I named this blog “satyamnaivajayati”, a Sanskrit term that  means Truth (satyam, सत्यम् ) Not Necessarily (naiva = na+eva, न+एव), Triumphs (jayati, जयति)। This blog-naming I based on some saying (Mantra, मन्त्र) of Mundaka Upanishad (मुण्डक उपनिषद्‍), where it actually is spelled “satyameva jayati” (satyam+eva jayati = सत्यम् +एव जयति), which means Truth Alone Triumphs. It embodies the motto of the Government a... Read more

Government of India (that is Bharat – This is how the written constitution puts it in words) has a national emblem comprising the lion-head image based on the remnants of Ashoka Pillar at Sarnath (Varanasi). The emblem has also in its bottom part the words “सत्यमेव जयते” (Satyameva Jayate), which verily is interpreted to mean “truth alone triumphs“. I am starting this blog (satyamnaivajayati – सत्यंनैवजयति) with my comments on the “motto” – satyameva jayate (सत्यमेव जयते) – which in my opinion is neither correct in spelling nor does it hold good in this physical wo...
